A Prayer by George MacDonald

200px-george-macdonald_thumb[1]

Thy will be done. I yield up everything.
The hairs I made not, thou art numbering.
Thou art my life – I the brook, thou the spring.
Because thine eyes are open, I can see;
Because thou art thyself, tis therefore I am me.

  1. This is beautiful! And I love seeing what he looked like. Because of his influence on C.S. Lewis, one of my goals is to eventually read some of MacDonald’s own material….Thanks for sharing this.
